Gone Painting! and Change of Website URL

Wow. I get too busy in summer with the "business end" of being an artist... keeping up with the two galleries that show my work. When weather is like this in Juneau, I can resist no longer! Sunny and a forecast of mid 70's! I am GOING PAINTING!

About Devita

Devita Stipek Writer is an established long time Alaska painter, living in Juneau, Alaska. Her family settled in Nome, Alaska, during the gold rush in the early 1900s. Devita and her Commercial Fisherman husband raised their family in fishing communities from Ketchikan to Kodiak and points in between. Over the years she has has received National and Regional awards and had numerous shows. In addition to original pallet knife and brush Oil Paintings, she has created over 50 murals for public spaces. As artists of old, she says of any success, “Soli Deo gloria.”
